About Me

about me 1about me new 4about me 2Thanks so much for visiting me here. It means a lot that you would take time from your busy life to read a little bit about mine. If there is anything at all you should know about me, it’s that I love God. He’s spent all of my life pursuing me with a love that is incomprehensible. And He loves you in the same way. He’s pursuing you also… right now.

I write and speak to give encouragement. I’ve been through the fire and though I might smell like smoke, I’ve never been burned. He is faithful. At almost forty-three years old, I feel like a girl sitting on the doorstep of life with lots questions. And maybe you have questions too…

I’m an imperfect wife, mother, daughter, and friend who has come to terms with making a million mistakes, but prays to learn from them. I believe in Jesus and the Holy Trinity. I want to live out my life pleasing the Almighty through serving other women in the way He calls me.

I’ve been married nearly twenty-five years. I’m a mother to three living children, and I have six children in heaven. I’ve lived through the deep and dark of miscarriage, stillbirth, and secondary infertility. I know grief, but I also know joy and hope in a way that gives me freedom to not only live free but to help impart freedom to others. (I’ve written about my journey in my memoir Nothing to Hold but Hope.)

I’m a full time seminary student, a speaker who teaches the Bible and loves more than anything to bring it to life in a way that connects with where you are right in this moment. I’m a writer and a friend.

So, if you want conversation and engagement, if you want someone to simply say, “it’s okay. I get it” and give you some hope and encouragement, then you are at the right place. Come have a seat next to me on my doorstep.
