Praise will become sincere again.
When my battle had first begun, I had to practice praise. I played worship music though I often didn’t feel like listening to it. I went to church whenever the doors were open. I raised my hands as an act of worship, surrender, and praise. My arms felt heavy, but even when I didn’t think I could hold them up, over time, my praise became sincere.
Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God;
for it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.
– Psalm 147:1 (NKJV)
Praise is beautiful. When we give God glory and thanks by praising Him, praise starts to change us from the inside out. It allows the release of joy in a life and builds the bridge to clarity of thought. It gives us a heart that is right before God, no matter how difficult the battle.
Practicing praise will lead to sincere praise. And sincere praise will change the attitude of your heart, which will, in turn, change your life.
